2. Website hosting
The main website at norvenark.com is a static website hosted using Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., USA, and potentially affiliated entities). The previous address hosted through GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA) is currently also accessible.
When you visit, the respective hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data, especially your IP address, request time, and technical request details. This is needed to deliver the site and maintain its security and availability. To the extent I am responsible for this processing, the legal basis is my legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Processing may take place outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Details on processing, retention and international transfers are provided in the Cloudflare privacy policy and the GitHub privacy statement. The specific contractual data-protection arrangements with Cloudflare still require separate review.
I do not run a separate web server or analyse individual visitor logs. Hosting providers may process technical logs for operation and security; retention periods depend on the respective provider's policies.
3. Cookies, analytics and external content
I do not integrate advertising or analytics services, a contact form, embedded audio/video players or externally hosted fonts on this website. Images and other graphics are served from this website's own files. I do not set tracking cookies for the website's features. Processing performed by the hosting provider is not covered by this statement.
The language switch and animations operate locally in the browser; they do not send additional usage data to me.
4. Contact by email
If you email me, I process the information you provide (such as your email address, name, message and time of contact) to handle your request and respond. The usual legal basis is my legitimate interest in communication (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), or Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your inquiry relates to a contract.
I use Gmail by Google (Google Ireland Limited and, depending on processing, other affiliated Google companies). Google processes email content and contact data. Transfers and processing outside the European Economic Area are possible. Details about recipients, transfers and safeguards are available in Google's privacy policy .
I retain messages only for as long as necessary to address the inquiry, for subsequent communication that needs to be documented, or to comply with applicable legal retention obligations. Google's own processing is also subject to its service retention policies.
5. Links to external services
This website links to external services such as LANDR, Instagram and music-streaming platforms. When you follow one of these links, you leave my website and the privacy policies of the destination service apply. I do not automatically embed players or social-media content from these services.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR, subject to the applicable requirements, you have rights of access (Article 15), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20, where applicable), and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21).
You may contact norvenark@googlemail.com about your rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, such as the Data Protection Authority of Lower Saxony .
